These terms apply when you buy a report from CivicVane ("we"). By placing an order you agree to them.
What we provide
Research reports built from public data: foundation prospect lists, funder briefs and local need statistics. We do not write grant applications, act as your fundraiser, or give legal, tax or accounting advice. We never take a percentage of grants.
No guarantee of funding
Funding decisions are made by funders. We don't promise that any funder will accept an application or award a grant.
Accuracy
We cite the source and year for the figures we report. Public data can be out of date or contain errors made by the original source. For example, IRS filings are often one to two years old, and survey estimates have margins of error. Check deadlines and eligibility with each funder before you apply.
Delivery
We deliver a PDF report by email within 2 business days (Monday–Friday, Eastern Time, excluding US federal holidays), counted from when we have both your payment and a complete order form. If we need more information, the clock pauses until you reply, then picks up where it left off.
Business days are Monday to Friday, Eastern Time (ET), excluding US federal holidays. Payments and complete order forms received after 5 PM ET, or on a weekend or holiday, count from the next business day.
Payment
Prices are in US dollars and paid in advance through Stripe. No subscription is created. Refunds go back to your original card through Stripe within 5 business days of approval.
Refunds
The Grant Prospect Report includes at least 20 ranked funders that give in your region, meaning the service area you enter on the order form. If a report doesn't meet that, or isn't what we described, tell us within 14 days of delivery and we'll fix it or give you a full refund.
You can cancel for a full refund any time before your report is delivered. If we miss the 2-business-day delivery time, you get a full refund and keep the report; ask within 30 days of the missed delivery date. If part of a Bundle or 3-Pack is delivered late or not at all, you get a pro-rata refund for the undelivered parts.
Refunds go back to your original card through Stripe within 5 business days of approval.
We can't refund because a funder declined an application, since we sell research, not grant awards. To ask for a refund, email hello@civicvane.com with your order number.
Your information
You confirm that the information you give us is accurate and that you're allowed to share it. See our Privacy Policy.
Use of reports
You may use your report within your organization and share it with your board, staff and grant writers. Please don't resell it.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for it, and we aren't liable for indirect or consequential losses such as a grant not awarded.
